The Cloister

Hello everyone!

I have not really changed or modified the rules since the Cloister's inception, but I feel the need to do so at this juncture. Rule 1 has a new addendum:

1a. We do not break bread with fascists, folkists, or their sympathizers. Monasticism is not an escape from the world, and we should all be prepared to reckon with the current political climate as it begins to knock on all our doors. To that end, members who are found to be or keep this sort of company, or who "both sides" the far-right ideology that is currently punishing, starving, and disappearing people off the streets, will be firmly asked to leave.

I am not seeking comment, suggestions, or compromises with this rule. Quite simply, these attitudes have no place in a community of supportive and inclusive peers, and I refuse to ever let these kinds of individuals take up residence on my webservers. I hope I never need to exercise the authority to ban or bar someone from this community for this reason.
